Propath presents at Novartis Single Cell & Spatial Day in Basel

Propath participated in the Novartis Single Cell and Spatial Day in Basel, contributing to discussions on the latest advances in spatial biology and single-cell technologies.

The event brought together researchers and industry experts to explore how spatial approaches are transforming our understanding of tissue biology and disease mechanisms. Thanks to our hosts at Novartis, we heard about emerging technologies from Moleculent, CubebaseBio and 10x Genomics. Scientists assembled from across biopharma to share how they are using existing technologies accelerate and deepen our understanding of disease and therapeutic response from Roche, Evotec, Sanofi, Cure51, Relation Therapeutics, Scailyte and more.

Thanks to the advances in chemistry and automation in recent years, it is clear from the presentations and discussions today that the challenge is no longer what can be measured, but what is done with that data, and when. Advances in data analysis and increasingly the ability of AI tools to integrate vast multimodal datasets to find patterns and predict everything from underlying mechanisms to clinical response are fast becoming the bottleneck, and the focus for innovation.

Participation in high quality events is an invaluable opportunity for knowledge sharing, to be challenged and to catalyse collaborations among the community. Propath’s active role within the spatial biology community and its commitment to staying at the forefront of scientific and technological innovation.
