Propath has successfully performed multiomic analysis on single tissue sections, using the COMET platform in combination with RNAscope technology, demonstrating the capability to integrate detection of up to 12 RNA targets with high-plex immunofluoresence.
This approach enables the simultaneous interrogation of protein and RNA targets within a single tissue section, generating highly integrated datasets while preserving valuable sample material. The ability to combine modalities on the same slide supports more comprehensive characterisation of biological systems and disease processes, enabling cross validation of expression and translation, characterisation of secreted protein expression, localisation and dosage of viral vectors, pathogens and much more.
The successful implementation demonstrates Propath’s capability to deliver complex, multi-layered spatial analyses within a validated and reproducible workflow. This milestone provides a strong foundation for future multiomic studies, particularly in translational and clinical research environments where sample conservation and data depth are critical.
